Pet Reservations

Fido and Trigger are welcome guests at Sundance Bear in either the log cabin or the guest house. We will do our best to make them feel at home. However ours are the only cats, and they reside in the main lodge.

We enjoy our animals and know having yours with you can enhance your vacation and we are happy to offer this possibility. However, anytime animals are introduced to a strange situation, things may not go as predicted. If you are bringing a dog or a horse, we require a signed liability release form.

Finally, not strictly a pet, but our logo came out of desire to have "bear" be part of the name.  When we got here and saw the sunsets and heard stories about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, it all came together.  Now we have trees carved with bears - it never ends!  By the way, we've only seen a live bear twice and he didn't bother anything except our trash cans.

Our Resident Pets

We say we have two dogs, two cats, two horses and two of us. Wild turkeys and deer round out the zoo.

JD and Morris are our cats.  JD (the gray one) got his name at the pound and we think it means Juvenile Delinquent - he's always into something.  Weird cat!  Morris is orange and if you remember the commercials like we do, that puts you in a specific age bracket. 

Catfood ads with Morris the finicky cat have been off the air for 25 years.

(Note for those of you with cat allergies, the cats live in the main house, but are never in either the cabin or guest house.  We try to keep them out of the main lodge bedrooms, but they do sneak in on rare occasions.)
